Starring James Cagney, Pat O'Brien, Marie Wilson, Ralph Bellamy, Frank McHugh, Dick Foran, Bruce Lester, Ronald Reagan, Paul Clark, and Penny Singleton. Jimmy Cagney and Pat O'Brien are zany screenwriters (patterned on Hecht and MacArthur) who run roughshod over studio boss Ralph Bellamy. Ordered to pen a script for a cowboy star (Dick Foran), they get inspiration from pregnant waitress Susie (Marie Wilson), deciding to make her new baby Foran's co-star.
